Professor Russell Mannion to present at the forthcoming international conference on Creating Healthcare Cultures of Safety and Respect in Healthcare

Professor Mannion will speak at this national event which will be addressing bullying, discrimination, harassment and incivility in healthcare.

This international event has the goal of addressing  bullying, discrimination, harassment and incivility in healthcare. Keynote speakers are:

  • Professor Russell Mannion, University of Birmingham
  • Professor Gerald Hickson, MD, Vanderbilt University Medical Centre
  • Professor Johanna Westbrook, Australian Institute of Health Innovation

Presentations will take place virtually on April 22-23, 2021.The conference is organised by St Vincent’s Health Australia, Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators and Macquarie University. Russell will draw on the findings of his NIHR funded study on Speaking Up in health care  as well as the emergent findings from a national NIHR funded study on the impact of Speaking Up Guardians in NHS Trusts.
