At the end of March 2021, the School submitted its second Sharing Information on Progress Report to PRME. The report, Meeting the Challenge of Responsible Business, covers the years 2019 and 2020.
The ambition of Birmingham Business School is to work towards a responsible future. Part of this ambition is the School’s role as a signatory to the Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME), an initiative from the United Nations to shape the skills and knowledge of future business leaders.
At the end of March 2021, the School submitted its second Sharing Information on Progress Report to PRME. The report, Meeting the Challenge of Responsible Business, covers the years 2019 and 2020.
The report features the key achievements within responsible management in the areas of research and education, which includes being shortlisted for the Times Higher Education ‘Business School of the Year Award, recognising the work of the School in the area of responsible business.
The report also features the research work undertaken in response to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and highlights the role and importance of business schools to be able to respond at times of crisis. The School’s achievements over the last year, as well as the goals it has laid out for next two years to further progress its work in responsible business research and teaching, reaffirms its commitment to the PRME principles and continuing to develop its work to promote curiosity and thought leadership.
