On 26 October 2021, Stacey Kennedy, a M4C PhD candidate in the Department of African Studies and Anthropology, gave a talk on her research into the Danford Collection of West African Art and Artefacts, in ways which ‘unsettle’ its primary narratives and allow a multiplicity of perspectives to emerge.

The talk celebrated the work of an influential artist and educator, Clara Etso Ugbodaga-Ngu, whose work is displayed in the Aston Webb building.
