International Workshop 'Populism in History and Today'

The Institute for German and European Studies (IGES) has received funding from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) for a workshop on manifestations of populism in history and today.

The workshop will be held in Berlin in cooperation with the Centre for Research on Anti-Semitism (Berlin) and the Willy-Brandt Centre (Wrocław). Held in September 2022, it will bring together scholars and postgraduates with a history and political-science background from the UK, Germany and Poland.

The organisers intend the workshop to form the basis for a sustained collaboration between the University of Birmingham, the Technical University of Berlin and the University of Wrocław.
