On 21 April 2016 IEL Director Professor Martin Trybus gave evidence to the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee of the European Parliament in Brussels on the reform of the EU Defence and Security Procurement Directive 2014/24/EU.
He had already given evidence to the same Committee in 2008 before that Directive was introduced. The Directive is also the subject of the most recent book by Professor Trybus Buying Defence and Security in Europe: The Defence and Security Procurement Directive in Context (CUP, 2014). In November 2015 he presented some of his research to the European Defence Agency.
