Professor Rhodri Ceredig has retired as the Director of the National Centre for Biomedical Engineering Science (NCBES) at the National University of Ireland in Galway. The Centre develops innovative diagnostic and therapeutic solutions to biomedical challenges through interdisciplinary and strategic research activities. Professor Ceredig, who was appointed Director of the Centre in 2013, is currently spending a few weeks working with Professor Antonius Rolink’s group at the University of Basel. He will then return to the National University of Ireland in his role as Professor of Immunology, Discipline of Physiology, in the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences.
