The 'Summer After the Floods' project has been highlighted by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) in an Evidence Briefing aimed at Whitehall and Westminster policy makers in which the project’s key findings and policy recommendations were presented.  The research has identified the differences in individuals and communities in coping with flooding, and emphasises the need for more local-level data, modelling, training and support to address the direct and indirect impacts of flood events on communities, individuals, businesses and emergency responders.
