Dr Alessandro Falcetta, a graduate of the Department of Theology and Religion at Birmingham, will be giving a lecture in London on 25 May 2017. 

Alessandro's Birmingham PhD was on Rendel Harris’ theory of early Christian Testimony Books. He will be giving a lecture about Rendel Harris for the Saint Catherine’s Foundation, entitled "Manuscripts, monasteries and mysteries: The adventures of a Victorian Bible scholar, James Rendel Harris”.

The lecture is to take place at the Society of Antiquaries in London on 25 May, with booking directly through the St Catherine's Foundation.

Rendel Harris was the first Director of Studies at Woodbrooke in Birmingham, and a leading figure in establishing biblical scholarship in Birmingham.

Alessandro is the author of James Rendel Harris: New Testament Autographs and Other Essays and gave the after-dinner speech at the fifth Birmingham Colloquium in 2007.
