Mathematics graduate's record mountain climb

Former student becomes first blind British man to reach the summit of Europe's highest mountain.

Former University of Birmingham student Jack Garner has become the first blind British man to reach the summit of Europe’s highest mountain. Jack, who graduated from the School of Mathematics this summer, climbed Mount Elbrus which lies along the border between Russia and Georgia. Congratulations Jack!
