POLSIS member, Dr Nicola Smith, presented at the British International Studies Association’s Plenary Roundtable to celebrate 30 Years of Feminist International Relations at the University of Bath on 14 June 2018

The panel, entitled ‘Feminist Conversations Across Three Decades,’ marked the thirty-year anniversary of the Gendering International Relations Working Group (GIRWG) at the British International Studies Association. The roundtable brought together Professor Cynthia Enloe (Clark University), Professor Shirin Rai (University of Warwick), Professor Laura Shepherd (University of Sydney), Dr Nicola Smith (University of Birmingham), Dr Laura McLeod (University of Manchester), and Professor Marysia Zalewski (Cardiff University) to discuss: their personal journeys to/across/away from feminist IR; the debates that have most captured their imagination; and what participants would most like to ask each other and the audience.
