The Institute for Research into Superdiversity (IRiS) has an outstanding track record of successful MSC fellowship applications. The Institute currently hosts two MSC fellows (Dr Stefano Piemontese and Dr Anna Vittoria Sarli). Previous fellows include Dr Giovanni Picker, Dr Ceren Ozgen and Dr Aleksandra Kazlowska.

What? MSC IF offer funding to experienced researchers for up 3 years, either to host an external researcher (2 years, European Fellowships) or to undertake research anywhere in the world (2 years abroad + 1 year compulsory return phase to UoB, Global Fellowships).

When? Call is open, deadline on 9th September 2020.

Eligibility criterion: the experienced researcher must hold a PhD or 4 years equivalent research.

Mobility criterion: the experienced researcher must not have spent more than 12 months in the UK in the past 3 years prior to the call deadline.

Budget: fixed rate, approx. £150 000 for 2 years, including researchers costs, family and mobility allowances.
