The Shakespeare Institute is delighted to announce the award of two new Fellowships for deserving research students, generously funded by the American Friends of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and named in honour of the great Professor Sir Stanley Wells.
The first two recipients of this prestigious award are Elizabeth Gaunt, who is writing a PhD about the materiality and meaning of crowns on the Renaissance stage, and Richard Hartley, whose PhD explores the paradox of destructive renewal in Shakespeare.
Our warm congratulations go to both.
