Frank Uekötter on Late Night Live with Phillip Adams
On February 2, Frank Uekötter was a guest on Late Night Live with Phillip Adams, Australian public intellectual and radio host. For more than 18 minutes, Frank spoke about path dependencies, about the global toll of monoculture and the future of food. He also spoke about cane toads, an invasive species well known to everyone in Australia. Frank showed how the spread of cane toads was a by-product of the perennial battle at the heart of monoculture farming - in this case, sugarcane planting in Queensland.
