With the Draft Online Safety Bill returning to Parliament this month, and with significant changes to the Bill expected (For example, we already know that the ‘legal but harmful’ provisions will be scrapped, and to counter opposition to this change – the Labour Party has slammed it as “a major weakening” of the Bill – the Culture Secretary, Michelle Donelan, is saying that it has been replaced by a “triple shield” to protect users.
