The Forum is a partner organisation of the SAPIENS (Sustainability and Procurement in International, European and National Systems) Network, of which Xinyue is an early-stage researcher.
The Forum is a non-profit organisation dedicated to fostering the exchange of information and experiences related to national and international public procurement practices in Germany.
During her secondment, Xinyue had the opportunity to engage in discussions with lawmakers in the State of Berlin and the State of Hamburg regarding considerations for small businesses within public procurement regulations. She also conducted interviews with representatives from the small business federation "Zentralverband Deutsches Baugewerbe," the industries federation "Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie e.V.," and procurement lawyers at "Deutsche Bahn AG."
These meetings provided valuable insights for Xinyue's doctoral research, which centres on analysing measures to enhance the involvement of small and medium-sized enterprises in public procurement.
