Piscopia Initiative @ Birmingham is successful in securing a grant to organise a conference at UoB

The conference aims to combine student talks and plenary lectures with small group sessions covering topics on career progression and challenges that women and non-binary researchers face in academia. The Piscopia Initiative is a UK-wide network that aims to encourage more women and non-binary undergraduate students to consider further study in mathematics. It also works to create a welcoming community for existing students and researchers to support one another during PhD study and beyond. The initiative is made up of around 10 committees based at universities around the UK, hosting events both locally and nationally.
