Shakespeare by Women: the Shakespeare Birthday Lecture 2024
The annual Shakespeare's Birthday Lecture – co-organised by the Shakespeare Institute and the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, took place in April.
This year, the Shakespeare Birthday Lecture featured Professor Lena Orlin, Professor Lois Potter and Professor Laurie Maguire, chaired by Professor Charlotte Scott, discussing 'Women Who Made Shakespeare.' This one-hour conversation was the culmination of a day during which each contributor had discussed her own recent research about the women in Shakespeare's life and in Shakespeare's local community.
