Following a twenty-five year hiatus, Walking With Dinosaurs returned to our screens in 2025. To celebrate this colossal comeback and bring ancient worlds to new pupils, the BBC filmed a Live Lesson at the Lapworth Museum of Geology.
Presented by Maddie Moate (Blue Peter) and Cam Whitnall (One Zoo Three), with special guest palaeontologist Nizar Ibrahim, this 30 minute episode will introduce the wonders of natural history to 7–11 year-olds through a prehistoric puzzle tied with UK National Curricula.
The Lapworth Museum regularly runs free workshops for Primary education across the West Midlands with Jake Atterby (Learning & Community Development Officer). A dozen enthusiastic pupils from local school Water Mill Primary starred in the episode, following a trail of clues through the Museum's iconic galleries and stores in order to unravel a dino-sized mystery.
