In a recent announcement, BISCA introduced new Affiliates to its growing network of dedicated researchers. This expansion aims to strengthen connections between climate and sustainability researchers across various disciplines, driving impactful research to create meaningful real-world change.

The Birmingham Institute for Sustainability & Climate Action (BISCA) aims to facilitate, connect, and deliver world-leading, transdisciplinary research on sustainability. The institute fosters climate action through its research community, students, policymakers, and wider society, leading to better livelihoods and a more sustainable environment in a rapidly changing world.

The new Affiliates bring a wealth of expertise, diverse perspectives, and a shared commitment to sustainability and climate action. These individuals will work alongside the existing BISCA community to deliver targeted activities that contribute directly to the institute's objectives. Through their collaboration with industry, policymakers, and wider society, they will help drive impactful research that addresses the most pressing climate challenges. Affiliates have been appointed across BISCA’s four core themes: Adaptation and Resilience, Climate Change and Health, Sustainable Finance, and AI for Sustainability.
