Visitors to Winterbourne House and Gardens at the University of Birmingham have supported the attraction to receive its second consecutive TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award.
The recognition is based on consistently positive visitor ratings and reviews including about the historic house, seven acres of botanic garden, or the Terrace Tea Room.
Over the past year, Winterbourne has celebrated highlights from their Wonders of Winterbourne campaign marking the University of Birmingham’s 125th anniversary, to appearances on BBC Gardeners’ World Live and Alan Titchmarsh’s Gardening Club.
The whole team work hard to ensure everyone has a great visit to Winterbourne and this kind of recognition from our visitors makes it all worthwhile.

Adjacent to the University of Birmingham’s Edgbaston campus, Winterbourne was built in 1903 by noted industrialists the Nettlefold family. Today, the house and garden invite visitors to step back in time, explore Edwardian Arts and Crafts design, and discover the stories that connect us to Birmingham’s industrial and academic heritage.

Winterbourne House and Garden is an Edwardian Arts and Crafts house and seven-acre garden owned by University of Birmingham.
Based just off the Edgbaston campus it offers a green space for everyone to enjoy, helps keep Birmingham history and heritage alive, and hosts a series of events, workshops, and courses throughout the year to help people develop skills in horticulture, arts, and more.
