Birmingham Colloquium on the Textual Criticism of the New Testament 2027: Call for Papers
Paper proposals are invited for the Fifteenth Birmingham Colloquium to be held in April 2027

The Fifteenth Birmingham Colloquium on the Textual Criticism of the New Testament is scheduled to take place in Birmingham from Tuesday 20th to Friday 23rd April 2027.
As this biennial event was first held in 1997, next year marks thirty years of this international gathering. Accordingly, the 2027 Colloquium will offer up to thirty slots of thirty minutes (30x30) for scholars to share new research findings on the transmission and history of the New Testament text.
Researchers from postgraduate students to established scholars are invited to submit presentation proposals for consideration by the programme committee. This is an open call, with no specific theme: offers may consider individual manuscripts, early translations, specific variation units or anything else which falls within the domain of New Testament textual scholarship.
Applicants should send a title and short abstract of their paper by email to colloquium@contacts.bham.ac.uk before the deadline of Monday 30th November 2026.

It is expected that next year's colloquium will again be a partly hybrid event, enabling those unable to attend in person to watch the presentations online. The videos of the recent colloquia continue to be available on the IGNTP YouTube channel. A selection of papers from the Fourteenth Colloquium will soon be published by Gorgias Press.
