New nursery meals coming this September

Our nursery meals will be provided by Nursery Kitchen, a specialist caterer dedicated to helping children develop a love of nutritious food from an early age.

As our existing catering contract comes to an end, we undertook a thorough review of nursery meal providers to ensure we continue offering high-quality meals that support children's health, wellbeing and development. This included researching suppliers, visiting sites, meeting catering teams, tasting meals and reviewing menus against Early Years nutritional guidance.

After an extensive selection process, we were confident that Nursery Kitchen was the right choice for our children and families.

Putting nutrition first

Good nutrition plays an important role in supporting children's growth, learning and development. That's why we wanted a catering partner that not only meets nutritional standards but is also passionate about creating meals that children genuinely enjoy.

Nursery Kitchen's menus are developed by experienced chefs and nutritionists and are designed to provide a balance of nutrients while introducing children to a wide variety of flavours and ingredients.

Their mission is simple: to inspire children to enjoy healthy food and help them develop positive eating habits that can last a lifetime. This is a vision that strongly aligns with our own approach to supporting children throughout their early years journey.

Freshly prepared, child-friendly meals

All Nursery Kitchen meals are freshly prepared by hand before being delivered to our nursery, where they are cooked and served by our team.

The menus feature a variety of wholesome dishes made with carefully selected ingredients, helping children explore new tastes while ensuring meals remain familiar, balanced and appealing.

Examples of dishes available on Nursery Kitchen menus include:

  • Baked oats with natural yogurt and fresh fruit
  • Rainbow veg sticks and hummus
  • Coco mango chicken curry
  • Beef cottage pie
  • Swish fish pie
  • Fruit desserts and yoghurts

Many dishes have received industry recognition through the Nourish Awards, celebrating both nutritional value and great taste.

Ingredients you can trust

We know that many parents are interested in where nursery food comes from and the ingredients used in children's meals.

One of the reasons Nursery Kitchen stood out during our review was their commitment to using quality ingredients and creating menus that encourage healthy eating habits from an early age. Their meals are designed to be nutritionally balanced, colourful and packed with a variety of vegetables, fruits and proteins to support growing children.

By exposing children to a wide range of foods in a positive environment, we hope to help build confidence around trying new flavours and developing healthy relationships with food.

Looking ahead

We're incredibly excited to begin working with Nursery Kitchen and can't wait for the children to enjoy the new menu from September. Over the coming weeks, we'll share more information about menus and meal options, along with details of what families can expect when the new service launches.
