Dr John Armitt, Chairman of the Olympics Delivery Authority, will provide an overview of the approach to the constructing of the venues and infrastructure for the London 2012 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
He will explore the challenges of the site, and how the ODA approached the programme. He will also explore how the project has achieved innovation and best practice in areas such as design, planning, sustainability and health and safety.
Dr Armitt is an honorary graduate of the University of Birmingham, having received a Doctor of Engineering (DEng) in 2008.
