Update regarding COVID-19:

The University’s primary concern is the health, safety and well-being of all our students, staff and their families and, therefore, this includes arrangements for the transition to online teaching and learning and a move to restricted campus operations which will involve staff within Careers Network working remotely.

During this time, the Employer Relations team will be contactable via our usual email address at recruiters@contacts.bham.ac.uk, you are also still able to post your vacancies via our online vacancy portal Careers Connect.  The process is simple and user-friendly but we have a handy Careers Connect user-guide (PDF - 823KB). You may also find our ‘Top Tips on advertising vacancies (PDF - 1.45KB)’ and a helpful video on our website for further instruction. 

It continues to be the University’s policy to follow PHE advice about COVID-19, along with guidance from the NHS and the FCO in the UK. As the advice changes, the University and Careers Network will be working towards adapting our offering and support for our employer partners via online methods where necessary and where possible. Bookings are now open for our autumn term careers fairs and activities on campus. Please visit our website for further details and up to date information.

We are keen to share with our students and those graduating this summer any updates on changes to recruitment practices that employers wish to provide. Employers can also support our students by providing hints and tips on applying for virtual roles, participating in virtual interviews and online assessment centres or working remotely.
