The major event for 2011 was the Corpus Linguistics conference, 20-22 July. This was attended by over 250 people, and held in the International Conference Centre in the centre of Birmingham. The theme of the conference was 'Discourse and Corpus Linguistics' and there were almost 200 paper and poster presentations, and plenary addresses by Paul Baker, Stefan Th. Gries and Susan Hunston.
