Professor Heather Widdows has been appointed a member of the Nuffield Council on Bioethics.
The Nuffield Council on Bioethics was established in 1991. It is an independent, UK-based charitable body that examines and reports on ethical issues in biology and medicine. The council has achieved an international reputation for advising policy makers especially on issues to do with advances in new biomedical research and technology.
