    The Maternal and Child Health Group undertakes clinical research that improves provision of maternity care and impacts maternal and child health.

    Advancing understanding of disease aetiology, identifying modifiable prognostic factors, developing, evaluating and implementing interventions that improve health management and outcomes.

  • Global Health

    The Global Health team engage in multidisciplinary, multi-institute and multi-country research focussing on health systems, effects and maternal and neonatal care.

  • Methodological Innovations

    Researching areas of health and social care where methodological and practical challenges associated with acquiring evidence are greatest and current indication is weakest.

    The NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) supports patients, the public and health and care organisations across England to participate in high-quality research, advancing knowledge and improving care.

  • NIHR Research Design Service

    The NIHR Research Design Service (RDS) provides free and confidential advice on research design, writing funding applications and public involvement, to health and social care researchers across England.

  • Centre for the Economics of Obesity
