Dimitris Tziovas, Professor of Modern Greek Studies at Birmingham is taking part in a discussion entitled "Greece, crisis and contemporary culture" at the Frankfurt Book Fair on 14 October 2017 to mark the publication of his edited collection Greece in Crisis: The Cultural Politics of Austerity.
Joining Professor Tziovas on the panel will be Eleni Yannakakis, editor of the anthology of essays “Critical times, critical thoughts” (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2015). The discussion will map the landscape of modern Greek thought and art as it has been formed by the crisis, in addition to exploring its multiple representations.
The event has been organised by the Hellenic Foundation for Culture.
