Professor of Molecular Cardiovascular Sciences

The successful applicant will join a vibrant, well-resourced, multidisciplinary biomedical research environment consisting of highly complementary fundamental and translational activities.  Research areas within the Institute include Atrial Fibrillation and Heart Failure, Thrombo-inflammation and Vascular Biology, Inflammation and Angiogenesis. Senior Lecturer - Cardiovascular Sciences

To create and disseminate knowledge at a senior level through initiating and conducting significant original research and through developing and delivering undergraduate, postgraduate and CPD programmes, as appropriate to the disciplinary area. In addition, to contribute to the department/school through management/leadership, and enterprise activities, as appropriate. Apply here.

Undergraduate courses

Cardiovascular science is a major component of education programmes across the College of Medical and Dental Sciences. Members of the Institute contribute to research-led teaching by delivering lectures, tutorials and laboratory classes, and supervising research projects for students studying medicine, dentistry, medical sciences and pharmacology.

Biomedical Research: Cardiovascular Sciences MRes

Providing you with an in-depth knowledge of the field and allowing you to gain practical experience working as part of leading research groups in the Centre for Cardiovascular Sciences you will investigate molecular, physiological and pathological processes underlying cardiovascular homeostasis in health and disease.
