The Birmingham Fly Facility supports the work of multiple labs where scientists use the fruit-fly Drosophila melanogaster as a model organism. They investigate fundamental biological processes which help advance our understanding of human health and disease.

The Birmingham Drosophila Labs offers a range of opportunities, including short-term visits and summer placements.
