Engage Amazonia Early Career Fellowship
In collaboration with the British Council, the Birmingham Institute for Sustainability and Climate Action (BISCA) and University of Birmingham Brazil institute (UBBI) are offering three early-career-fellowships for applicants from the Amazon region in Brazil. The Birmingham Institute for Sustainability & Climate Action (BISCA) aims to facilitate, connect, and deliver world-leading, transdisciplinary research on sustainability.
BISCA fosters climate action through its research community, students, policymakers, and wider society, leading to better livelihoods and a more sustainable environment in a rapidly changing world. UBBI is the flagship institute at the University of Birmingham for research, collaboration, cultural initiatives and engagement with Brazil. The Engage Amazonia Fellowships are under the auspices of the International Science. Partnerships Fund (ISPF). The ISFP Fund puts research and innovation at the heart of the British Council international relationships, supporting UK researchers and innovators to work with peers around the world on the major themes of our time: planet, health, tech and talent. The fellowships will support ECRs to conduct research at the University of Birmingham on topics related to Climate Change and Biodiversity, Conservation and Restoration of Natural Capital, and Health Systems in the Amazon.
