CHASM’s new Masters level module on the MA Global Public Policy course at the University of Birmingham was launched this year and is part of CHASM commitment to supporting and developing researchers of the future. The module has been extremely popular, with over fifty students taking the opportunity to learn from CHASM’s expert academics. The module is led by Dr Ellie Suh, with lectures given by CHASM’s Dr Louise Overton, Professor Adele Atkinson, Dr Kris Fuzi and Dr Ozlem Ogtem-Young.
Financial Wellbeing and Inclusion: a Social Policy Perspective explores key conceptual and policy debates on financial well-being and inclusion by delving into issues including the impact of social policy on financial well-being, financial choices, and behaviours across different stages of life course and population groups with a focus on marginalised communities. The students engage with national and international evidence and contemporary examples on work patterns and earnings, savings and debts, social security, health, intergenerational aspects of family, and financial well-being to illustrate these key concepts and debates.
We are pleased to showcase the work of some of our students on our CHASM website.
