BCM2 Services

Who can use BCM2?

BCM2 is accessible to both academic (internal and external) and industrial users. All new users are encouraged to contact us via email (bcm2@contacts.bham.ac.uk) in the first instance to discuss requirements. Please include the following details - 

• The institution, association or industry you are emailing from
• What you would like to achieve through the use of the BCM2 centre
• If known, approximate timescales you would like to work

What do we offer?

At BCM2 we are able to provide training and support to allow independent usage of our mechanochemistry and analytical equipment for more regular users. All equipment is detailed and can be booked through the core facilities booking system Stratocore.

Alternatively, we can offer bespoke service packages where a specialist will run your sample and perform analysis, negating the need for travel or training. Expertise include real-time analysis via thermography or Raman spectroscopy, along with material analysis via powder x-ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, and thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis.
