UK RAM Facility
The UK RAM Facility for Resonant Acoustic Mixing for Sustainable Chemical Manufacturing is an EPSRC-funded, commercial facility built to support researchers and industries in the development of cleaner, greener technologies for mechanical processing and mechanochemical synthesis using the ResonantAcoustic Mixing technology.

The facility offers access to four benchtop LabRAM II instruments, a pilot-scale OmniRAM system, supported by in-house developed instrumentation for spectroscopic, thermography and high-speed video (up to 10,000 fps) real-time process tracking.

The process monitoring capabilities are enhanced by benchtop instrumentation for on-site materials analysis, including optical microscopy, powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD), attenuated total reflectance infrared spectroscopy (FTIR-ATR), dynamic vapour sorption (DVS) and thermal (combined simultaneous TGA/DSC) analysis in air, nitrogen or oxygen flow.
