- Immunofluorescence microscopy of Junctional Epidermolysis Bullosa skin specimen with blistering evident within lamina lucida.

The dermatology research group comprises a diverse interdisciplinary team of clinicians and basic scientists interested in exploring disease mechanisms and therapeutics utilising rare skin diseases as paradigms. Research projects have been awarded national and international grants with University Hospital Birmingham leading several large international studies.
