Research in the School of Education
The School of Education has a national and international standing as a centre of excellence for research in education. Our core mission is to advance the academic study of education with a commitment to equity and social justice locally, nationally and internationally.
We have been recently ranked third in the national assessment of the research (REF) which takes place across all UK universities approximately every 7 years. Researchers in the School are work with a wide variety of external partners and organisations, and are funded by a variety of national and international organisations, to make a difference in education.
