Exploring the current challenges facing the energy sector

Thursday 7 March 2019, 15:00 - 17:00
Venue: Aston Webb, Dome Lecture Theatre, (R4 on campus map - PDF)

Ahead of the University’s Annual Meeting the Birmingham Energy Institute is delighted to invite you to a networking session to discuss the current challenges and opportunities facing the energy sector over coffee and a cake.

Delegates in attendance will have a chance to learn about the work of our nationally-recognised centres of excellence and the impact our research is having on a national and international scale. This will range from our research in energy storage, the developments associated with the Tyseley Energy Park, the Faraday battery developments, nuclear robotics to the developments with the Fraunhofer and the Energy Research Accelerator.  You will find out more about our work with our partners aiming to make Birmingham the UK’s Energy Capital. There will be an opportunity to tour the BEI lab facilities and talk to researchers.
