Three PhD students from the Institute of Immunology and Immunotherapy have had their abstracts accepted to present at the 5th European Congress of Immunology 2018 in Amsterdam in September 2018.
- Emma Dutton is a final year PhD student funded by BBSRC case studentship with Medimmune
- Rhys Jones is a final year PhD student funded by Rheumatoid Arthritis Pathogenesis Centre of Excellence studentship
- Dominika Gajdasik is a third year PhD student funded by the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council case studentship with GSK
This significant achievement embodies the progress the students have made during their PhD studies, which has also resulted in recent publications and further manuscripts currently being submitted. All three are set to go on and develop their research careers.
Rhys states: "This is an exciting opportunity to present the research I've completed during my PhD and will hopefully strengthen my skills in communication that will be fundamental in my future career."
The 5th European Congress of Immunology) will be held in Amsterdam from 2-5 September with a special focus on ‘Building Bridges'.
