We have been working extremely hard over the last few months to get the final analysis completed on two of our large national clinical trials, TABLET and PRISM. The TABLET trial tests the hypothesis that taking a small (50µg) dose of thyroxine by euthyroid women aged between 16 and 40, with thyroidperoxidase (TPO) antibodies, before and during pregnancy, will increase their chance of having a successful pregnancy outcome. The PRISM trial tests the hypothesis that a daily progesterone (800mg) dose taken by women experiencing early pregnancy bleeding (a sign of threatened miscarriage) will increase their chance of having a successful pregnancy outcome.

We are very grateful to everyone who agreed to participate in these studies, and all the research teams across the country for all their hard work. Without each and everyone of you, we would be unable carry out this research into new treatments for early pregnancy care.

We hope to have the answers to these important research questions very soon.
