About this event
Last year’s COP26 Summit provided a focal point for the world’s experts and leaders to make binding and impactful commitments to limiting global warming to 1.5 °C above pre-industrial levels and securing clean air for all. Academic research plays an essential role in building the evidence base for such policies, understanding the evolving realities of climate change and access to clean air, analysing the efficacy of policies, and trialling and prototyping technologies.
Join a panel of experts as they discuss tangible and effective policy recommendations to take action on: climate change, the right to clean air, and how policymakers can work together with academics and industry to secure a better and more sustainable future for all.
The event will take place in The Exchange's Assembly Room (3 Centenary Square, Birmingham B1 2DR).
The University of Birmingham is hosting a number of party conference events. Join us at our fringe events to discuss the policy-relations questions of the moment and discover how our research is shaping policy decisions.
