Lecture title: Doing a Buyout – an Investors Perspective
Speaker: Richard Swann
Richard is a Partner and Chair of Investment Committee at Inflexion, one of the leading UK Private Equity Firms. He has been involved in many of Inflexion’s successful investments, and has invested across a range of sectors and situations, leading a number of those through to IPO on the London markets.
Richard was previously a partner with Deloitte and Andersen, specializing in mergers and acquisitions and fundraising. He graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1988 with a degree in Biochemistry and also has an MBA from Warwick Business School. He works in London but his home remains in Birmingham.
He is passionate about the role of education in promoting social mobility and the contribution that the University can make to the wider Midlands area.
