IRiS Deputy Director, Dr Nando Sigona was invited to give an interview on Al Jazeera English News on Monday 20th August. During the interview, Dr Sigona explained why we shouldn’t treat Spain as a new Greece or Italy as far as irregular sea crossings are concerned. Morocco is a functioning state, not like Libya, and has a close cooperation on migration with the EU, not like Turkey before the EU deal.
