The School of Biomedical Sciences is part of the University of Birmingham’s main Edgbaston campus. It is part of the Institute of Clinical Sciences and is also home to the anatomy team. Our School is recognised for its outstanding educational teaching and pioneering research.
Our School renowned BSc Biomedical Science course, formally known as BMedSc Medical Science, has been running for over 20 years and has produced thousands of highly successful biomedical scientists and professionals.
Recently we have just established the new Biomedical Science MSci course that will cover the major disciplines of biomedical science as well as providing students with professional development and entrepreneurial opportunities including good clinical laboratory practice (GCLP), business and enterprise and governing regulatory roles
We are proud to offer students the opportunity to work alongside leading researchers and take advantage of our well-established links with major national centres for research and the local NHS on a daily basis.
