Public Choice Society

Birmingham Business School is proud to announce that Dr Siddhartha Bandyopadhyay, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics, has recently been awarded the Duncan Black Prize for 2014 by the Public Choice Society.

The prize is awarded annually for the best paper in Public Choice by a senior scholar. Dr Bandyopadhyay was recognised along with co-author Bryan C. McCannon (St. Bonaventure University) for their paper 'The effect of the election of prosecutors on criminal trials', Public Choice 161(1–2) (October 2014): 141–156. 

The prize will be presented at the Awards Luncheon during the annual meetings of the Public Choice Society, convened this year in San Antonio, Texas on 12-15 March 2015.
