Midlands Regional Doctoral Colloquium

Birmingham Business School invites Doctoral researchers from the above Business Schools to submit papers for consideration at the Annual Midlands Regional Doctoral Colloquium. This year’s colloquium will be hosted by the Birmingham Business School at the University of Birmingham and will be held on Friday 12 June 2015. We welcome and encourage submissions of research work from the disciplines of Accounting, Economics, Finance, Management and Marketing.
An abstract of no more than 200 words should be submitted as a Microsoft Word document or PDF and sent as an e-mail attachment addressed to Marleen Vanstockem at business-pgr-research@contacts.bham.ac.ukby Friday 1 May 2015. Please include Doctoral Colloquiumin the subject line and the disciplinary field into which your paper falls. Submissions received after the deadline or that do not meet the length requirements will not be accepted for review. Notification of receipt of an abstract will be emailed to the author soon after receipt. The abstract should clearly include your name, email address, the title of your submission, key words, your current year of study, the name of the University where you are registered, and your student status (full-time or part-time). Abstracts will be reviewed and notification of acceptance will be sent out by Friday 15 May 2015.
As in previous years, there will be a prize for the best paper in each disciplinary field. The programme will include plenary sessions with the participation of experienced academic staff from the Birmingham Business School.
All PhD students from the above Business Schools are encouraged to attend to support their colleagues and network with other doctoral researchers. Free on-line registration will be available from Friday 15 May 2015.
The final schedule of the Colloquium will be communicated in May.
