Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham has maintained its high UK ranking with 3rd place in the 2021 Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide.
Our high Times league table position follows the School achieving 3rd place in the Russell Group for overall student satisfaction rating in the National Student Survey 2020, and being ranked 4th overall in the Guardian University Guide 2021. We also appear in the top 100 in the QS World University Rankings for Chemical Engineering.
The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide is created using a variety of criteria including student satisfaction, research quality, graduate prospects, entrance qualifications held by new students, degree results achieved, student/staff ratios, service and facilities spend, and university dropout rates.
