Pattern Grammar is a corpus-driven grammar of English which describes the syntactic environment of lexical items. It provides a unique framework for capturing the close relationship between words and patterns of grammar. As part of our project, we are collaborating with HarperCollins publishers on the development of research-informed resources for English Language Teaching. We are also using the research to support the teaching of academic language in schools.
