The Shakespeare Institute will be hosting two open afternoons for prospective students on Thursday 24 January 2013 and Thursday 14 March 2013.

These dates coincide with our Thursday Seminars, giving you an opportunity to attend a seminar by a visiting speaker, followed by a question and answer session. On 24 January, you will have an opportunity to see Gregory Doran, Artistic Director of the Royal Shakespeare Company, while the seminar on 14 March will be led by Professor Neil Corcoran, Emeritus Professor, University of Liverpool, and looks at 'Hamlet in the Cold War: Zbigniew Herbert's 'Elegy of Fortinbras' and its Contexts'.

During the open afternoons we will also offer tours of the Institute and the chance to meet current students and speak with programme convenors. You will be able to see the Institute at ‘work’ and experience what it is like to study here.

If you would like to find out more or attend either of our open afternoons, please contact Juliet Creese on j.creese@bham.ac.uk.
