The Department of Education and Social Justice (ESJ) unites passionate scholars from diverse disciplines to champion social justice and critical enquiry in education.
Among us there are leading authorities in history, politics, sociology, and education, each dedicated to making a profound impact. Together, we strive to create a more equitable and just world, where education serves as a powerful tool for transformation and empowerment.
With three research centres and a number of research groups, with interests extending from early childhood education through to adult learning, and spanning the historic to the most contemporary issues, ESJ works to understand the role that education can play in romoting social justice.
