The MA in Teaching Studies is targeted to qualified teachers who have completed a PGDipEd which is a Masters qualification with a total of 120 credits.
Once you have passed your teacher education course and successfully passed your induction year, you may apply to study for a Masters in Teaching Studies. You will need a satisfactory reference from your university tutor in order to apply and pay the tuition fee which will be £2,625 for Home/EU (2019-2020).
This is an opportunity to develop your understanding of educational issues based on practical experience. Studying on this course can significantly enhance your career prospects as well as support your professional development.
You will gain 60 credits at Masters level through the completion of a 15,000 word dissertation. You will be given support and guidance, including three compulsory face-to-face Saturday morning taught sessions at the University in the autumn term to learn how to carry out a research project. You will be allocated a personal tutor to help you complete your dissertation over the academic year.
